Week 2 Refections

Reflections for week 2

Hi everyone!
this week has not been too stressfull as the past week. Every week there is something new to learn. This week I have been working tirelessly on websearch and the ABCD Model  of writing objectives.

I started off on Monday by reading about the different search engines. Before now I was used to google and yahoo. I thought google was the best search engine. But after reading all the references concerning web search and analysing the readings, I discovered and used NoodleTools which has a wide variety of search engines. This is better than google because it has discipline- specific portals. I discovered Infomine and a variety of others.

I also read about learning objectives and how to write clear objectives using the ABCD Model. I equally read about Techniques and Methods for writing Objectives and Performance Outcomes. Latter on I had to design or create a learning objective for one of my classes- form 3.

What I have gathered this far is so huge. The whole experience of learning off campus is so exciting. Sharing ideas and experiences with colleagues from all over the world is amazing. One can get a feel of the teaching and learning context of the various countries.

I am looking for an opportunity where I can teach my students this wonderful method of acquiring knowledge, using innovative materials.
